25,950 Steps for SickKids: Walking With Gratitude, Purpose, and Heart

Monday 2nd Feb

On February 1st, I kicked off the SickKids Foundation February Steps Challenge with 25,950 steps in a single day.

That number means more to me than just distance walked.
It represents gratitude. It represents resilience.
And most of all, it represents my son.

I’m doing this challenge because I’m a SickKids dad—and I owe everything to SickKids Hospital.

My son was born with congenital heart disease, and since the day he entered this world, SickKids became our second home. Over the course of his life so far, he has spent six months in the hospital, receiving what I can only describe as first-class, world-leading care. The doctors, nurses, specialists, researchers, and support staff didn’t just treat a condition—they cared for our child, and they supported our family during the most terrifying moments of our lives.

Because of SickKids, my son is here.
Because of SickKids, we have hope.
Because of SickKids, families like ours get tomorrow.

SickKids isn’t just a hospital—it’s a global leader. Thanks in large part to the SickKids Foundation, the hospital is able to fund critical research, attract the best medical minds in the world, and continue pushing boundaries in pediatric care. That support is why SickKids is consistently ranked as the #1 children’s hospital in the world.

This February, I’m walking to give back to the place that gave my family everything.

I’ve set a fundraising goal of $1,000, and I’m asking for your help. Whether it’s a small donation, sharing this post, or sending words of encouragement—every single step and every dollar makes a difference. Your support helps fund lifesaving research, advanced treatments, and care for families who are just beginning their SickKids journey.

I’ll keep walking.
I’ll keep stepping forward with purpose.
And I’ll keep doing it for the kids, the families, and the hospital that saved my son’s life.

💙 If you’re able to donate, please consider supporting my February Steps Challenge and help me reach my $1,000 goal. Together, we can help SickKids continue saving lives. 💙

Thank you—for reading, for caring, and for walking this journey with me.

Welcome Flex Factory Members and Family

Sunday 25th Jan
This February, my friends and I are taking part in a steps challenge to support Toronto’s Sick Kids Hospital.

We are incredibly thankful for everything SickKids does for children and families.

At the private gym we work out at in Brampton Flex Factory, many members already focus on staying active and hitting daily step goals. That inspired us to turn something we’re already doing into an opportunity to give back. Throughout February, we’ll be putting our steps toward a greater purpose by supporting SickKids Hospital.
