I’m participating in the February Step Challenge in support of SickKids.
We had a bit of a rocky end to 2025! What was first a run of the mill cold for our 3 year old turned into a blemish on her face, then turned into multiple blemishes and sores that were thought to be impetigo, which morphed into a large patch of skin peeling away and a diagnosis of staph scalded skin syndrome. A widespread staph infection in her blood stream that presented like burns and required serious care.
She was sent to SickKids where she stayed for 6 days receiving amazing care and attention from the doctors, nurses, staff, and volunteers. Unfortunately, in December she had to return for another stay with staph and strep.
I'd like to give back to the hospital that took such great care of her by helping raise any small amount of funds I can!
This month, I’m stepping up in the fight for children’s health by participating in the February Step Challenge. Every walk, commute, and hike will help SickKids.
