Sylas' story
Saturday 10th Jan Sylas was born after a complicated labour but seemingly healthy. In under 30 hours that all changed when he was intubated and sickkids was called for guidance on what to do in the situation as there was no diagnosis yet. 10 hours later he was transfered to sickkids. Sick kids diagnosed him with a large hole in his heart as well as a narrowed aorta. He underwent an 8 hour open heart surgery at 7 days old. The recovery had ups and downs but in the end Sylas came home at 21 days old with some restrictions, incision care and a NG tube. Since then he has had amazing progress and we are so thankful for all the care and support sickkids provided us with. ShareThank you to my Donors
